BOP Testing - interpreting the results

23 September 2013 BOP pressure testing in deepwater with SBM requires lengthy testing times.

We have been using Accolade SBM in around 4,000ft of water, testing to 7,700psi with around 100bbls test volume. To get an "acceptable" 5 minute straight line on the chart, each HP test has been taking over an hour.

My challenge to the panel is how can we obtain valid BOP Pressure Tests in an efficient and cost effective manner in greater water depths, deeper drilling horizons and using higher test pressures? Any information on new technology or alternative procedures will be greatly appreciated.
