17 1/2" riserless drilling

What is considered the upper limit and constraint w.r.t ROP in a 17
1/2" riserless section? On what is this based?

Secondly w.r.t directional work in such sections, what best practices
have been learned e.g. w.r.t BHA design in order to minimise sliding
and optimise rotating without compromising wellbore quality?
